We’re located in Hampstead, Maryland, and we welcome visitors who want to see where their food is raised. You’re invited to stop by, ask questions, and experience real farming in action.
For the safety of our animals (and yours), please plan your visit between 10am–4pm, and email us ahead of time for the address and details. We’re a working farm, so things can get a little muddy, a little noisy, and very real—but that’s just how we like it.
Whether you’ve got questions about our products, our practices, or our upcoming events—we’re here and happy to talk.

Regenerative farming is an agricultural approach focused on rebuilding soil health, increasing biodiversity, and sequestering carbon. At Crescent Moon Farms, our regenerative practices—like rotational grazing—restore nutrient-rich soil that grows healthier pasture and more nutritious food.
While both regenerative and organic farming avoid synthetic chemicals, regenerative farming goes further by actively repairing ecosystems. We test and rebuild mineral-rich soil, rotate livestock to prevent overgrazing, and boost biodiversity—whereas organic certification primarily limits inputs without necessarily restoring soil health.
“Pasture-raised” means our animals spend their lives roaming on open pasture, foraging natural vegetation rather than being confined. This free-range approach yields happier cows, chickens, laying hens, and richer-tasting eggs and meat compared to conventional or caged systems.
Pasture-raised eggs contain higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E, and beta-carotene. Our hens scratch fresh pasture daily, producing eggs that not only taste better but also deliver more nutrients—making them a healthy, delicious choice for any recipe.
Free-choice mineral blocks let our livestock self-select essential trace elements like calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. Coupled with our ongoing soil mineral testing, this ensures both pastures and animals have balanced nutrition, leading to stronger plants, healthier cows, and cleaner food on your table.
Rotational grazing moves animals between pastures on a set schedule. This practice prevents overgrazing, encourages diverse forage growth, reduces erosion, and builds soil organic matter. At Crescent Moon Farms, it’s a cornerstone of our regenerative farming system.
Crescent Moon Farms eggs are available for purchase at our Farm Store in Hampstead, MD or for local delivery. Check our online shop for more information.
Our pasture-raised eggs come from hens that roam chemical-free pastures and eat natural forage—yielding richer yolks, higher omega-3 levels, and unbeatable flavor you can taste in every bite.
Plastic-free farming means using steel waterers and feeders instead of plastic to eliminate microplastic contamination in animal feed and water. By keeping plastic out of the food chain, we ensure your meals are as clean and honest as the way we farm.
Absolutely. We host seasonal events as often as we can. Visit our Events page for upcoming on-farm tour dates or tune in to our monthly virtual farm tours to meet our cows, chickens, and bees in real time.
We love animals—no shock there—but for everyone’s safety (and liability), we can’t allow pets on the farm. Please leave your furry friends at home so we can keep all critters—human and animal—happy and healthy.
You can order our farm-fresh eggs directly through our online shop. We pack them in cardboard cartons and offer local pickup in Hampstead, MD, or optional home delivery within a 25-mile radius.
If your eggs arrive cracked or your merchandise is damaged, email hello@crescentmoonfarmsmd.com within 48 hours. We’ll replace affected items or issue a refund—no BS, just good customer care.
Regenerative farming restores soil health, increases biodiversity, and captures carbon—so every purchase supports a healthier planet, happier animals, and real-food nutrition that benefits you and future generations.
Keep eggs refrigerated at or below 40°F. Use within 4–5 weeks for peak freshness—just like store eggs, but way tastier. Pro tip: Bring them to room temp before baking for better results.
